Community Engagement and Membership Officer - Mull of Galloway

Reference number: A5000119

Location: Dumfries and Galloway

We have 2 vacancies available for creative, charismatic and passionate individuals to come and join us at our internationally significant seabird reserve at the southern most point of Scotland.

Are you passionate about wildlife and enjoy engaging with the public? Do you want to widen peoples' appreciation for the natural world? Do you have a proven track record of achieving targets? And if so, would you like to work at a stunning location in south-west Scotland? If the answer is yes to these questions we would like to hear from you. We are looking for 2 confident candidates, with excellent people skills, to showcase the Mull of Galloway's special wildlife and inspire people to support our work.
The RSPB is the UK's largest conservation organisation, with over 200 nature reserves giving a home to thousands of species across the whole of the UK. By creating and protecting some of the country's rarest habitats we are ensuring the future for some of our most threatened wildlife.

From now until 2030, The RSPB will be focusing on some ambitious plans and targets - working together with the public and its partners to collectively change the fate of nature. The successful candidate will be an ambassador for the RSPB, and will enthuse and inspire members of the public to join the RSPB by telling them about our work.

Excellent people are the key to the RSPB achieving its vision, mission and purpose.

This role offers the chance for you to be creative, engaging and most of all to make a difference, not just for wildlife but also for the families and individuals that you speak to in our visitor centre on this fantastic cliff-top reserve.

This role is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. You will be asked to declare unspent convictions and cautions at offer of employment stage.
