UK Overseas Territories Project Officer

A rare and exciting opportunity to join the UK Overseas Territories team, home to 94% of the UK's unique species.

This externally-funded one-year post will be responsible for coordinating a UK Government project entitled 'Strengthening bio security for remote Territory communities and their World Heritage'. Working with the Governments of Tristan da Cunha and the Pitcairn Islands, this project aims to comprehensively strengthen the pre-border bio security of these island groups via work in South Africa, New Zealand & French Polynesia. As well as improving on-the-ground practices, we aim to support passage of improved bio security policies in both Territories.

There is also considerable scope for the post holder to work on the implementation of other projects currently underway in the team, such as on bio security in the Caribbean, and to assist in communicating our conservation work underway across the Territories.

Salary starting at

£22,073 to £23,912 per annum. Applicants should expect under normal circumstances to receive an offer at the bottom of the advertised range.
