Facilities Manager

Location: Rainham Marshes Reserve

We are looking for an enthuasiastic, confident and highly organised individual to take on the management of the facilities at our Rainham Marshes nature reserve.

We need someone who has a high attention to detail, the ability to negotiate and manage contracts, and the confidence to supportall our operations at this wonderful site to ensure a positive and welcoming experience for the 80,000 visitors that will come through our doors each year.

You will manage the facilities of the main buildings, its surrounding environs and external facilities to ensure they are clean and safe for staff, volunteers and visitors, ensuring maintenance is planned and organised, and the contracts with suppliers are negotiated for the best quality service at an affordable cost. You will provide administrative support in the office for the site operations and be responsible for ensuring administration processes are set up and adhered to across the site.

Project management experience will be beneficial in this role, as well as an ability to prioritise work and remain calm in a busy work environment. The role will be varied and interesting, and we are looking for someone who can come and develop the role to make it their own.

This role is full time and may involve some weekend and evening working so some flexibility will be needed.

Salary starting at

£19,602 to £21,236 per annum - Applicants should expect under normal circumstances to receive an offer at the bottom of the advertised range
