Visitor Counting Project Manager

This is an exciting time to join the RSPB. The Visitor Operations Consultancy is leading a step change in how we run visitor operations on our nature reserves and deliver the best experiences for our visitors. This role will play a key part in ensuring that we have the information we need at our fingertips, to make informed business decisions.

We are looking for a project manager to lead on the development of a national approach and roll out of a modern, streamlined visitor counting process across our nature reserves. Collating more accurate and consistently recorded visitor data in real time will assist our teams in making informed operational decisions and deliver exceptional visitor experience for visitors to RSPB nature reserves each year. As a result of this project we will have better understanding of how visitors use our sites, including peak visiting times, and an efficient system for our teams to work with.

You will drive this 12 month project, following the RSPB project management framework to ensure the project meets its objectives, supports strategic priorities and delivers on time and to budget.

•This project will involve working across different departments and across the UK so you will have experience of leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders.

•You are a confident, inspiring and assertive leader who works collaboratively with others across multi-disciplinary teams.

•You will use your excellent communication skills and experience to persuade and influence a wide range of people and to produce clear communications to implement new procedures in how we record, collate and use visitor data.

•This role will provide leadership, direction and motivation for the project including delivery and supporting teams across UK operations.

Salary starting at

£25,463 to £27,585 per annum - Applicants should expect under normal circumstances to receive an offer at the bottom of the advertised range

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months
