Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? 100,000 visitors come to our stunning Bempton Cliffs nature reserve every year to enjoy nearly half a million seabirds. Thanks to the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund, we opened our brand new Seabird Centre to the public in 2015. The new centre acts as the hub for an exciting programme of education, events and interpretation.

As part of a dedicated team, you will need bags of enthusiasm and initiative to deliver a friendly and professional welcome to all of our visitors. You will be the first 'face of Bempton' that most visitors will see and a good first impression can be the most important.

The role will entail helping control traffic, directing new arrivals to available spaces in the car parks and managing visitor's expectations. Working days can vary with an average of about 15 hours per week between Apr to Aug and will require working weekends and bank holidays. Based at RSPB Bempton Cliffs Seabird centre in Bempton, East Riding of Yorkshire. You may need your own transport as it's a little off the beaten track, we are 20mins drive from Bridlington and 35mins drive from Scarborough.

Salary starting at

£8.21 to £8.33 per hour - Applicants should expect under normal circumstances to receive an offer at the bottom of the advertised range

Hours & contract information

Hours: Part time, Hourly Paid as and when required
Contract: Fixed Term for 6 months
