Campaigns Developer

Reference number: 0VbdE-11

Location: Bedfordshire

This is a wonderful opportunity to join a great team saving nature and inspiring people in one of the most wildlife-rich counties in the UK. We are one of the largest directorates dedicated to saving nature in the UK, and we're looking for the right person to fit into our dynamic team.

We are looking for someone with a drive to learn and the confidence to develop skills outside of the role requirement. Someone who can understand how our disparate data sources work together to deliver a customer experience like no other charity.

Are you up for the challenge? If so, I look forward to hearing from you.

About the Role:

Make no mistake, this is a demanding technical role with immense professional opportunity. It's not about just looking after things and making sure they tick over - you'll have a curiosity to develop and grow our business as usual processes as the needs of the organisation evolve. What else can we offer internal marketers to enable and empower them to connect our supporters and volunteers to nature in new, creative and exciting ways? How can we work better to maximise efficiency while maintaining accuracy? You'll contribute to all those important discussions - and many more.

This role holds responsibility for ensuring our communications are data compliant and adhere to both legal and regulatory conditions and the RSPB's own business data rules. You will therefore need practical experience of applying appropriate exclusions and preference criteria to ensure that compliance is always prioritised for every selection.

It's definitely no small task but one huge career opportunity.

About Us:

RSPB Headquarters is based at The Lodge in Sandy, Bedfordshire.

Passionate about nature, dedicated to saving it. Since we started on our mission in 1889, the threats to nature have continued to grow, but we've grown to meet them too.

We're now the largest nature conservation charity in the country, consistently delivering successful conservation, forging powerful new partnerships with other organisations and inspiring others to stand up and give nature the home it deserves.

About You:

You'll be an inspiration to the team; creative, bright and on the ball, focused on getting things done. You'll have ambition.

Reporting to the Senior Campaigns Developer, this role will provide technical expertise to activity owners, building data selections and advising on the most efficient ways to segment data to achieve the output required. This role is pivotal to ensuring all our personalised communications are relevant and compliant and deliver the best potential response rates whether via financial support or engagement. This role requires someone with direct experience of data selection tools such as Apteco Faststats, and Marketing Cloud (or a similar tool) for email creation and broadcast or a CRM based selection tool such as Care's Campaign Manager.

You will have a positive and collaborative customer service based approach to working, providing pro-active feedback to customers and engaging them in the specification and design to ensure we deliver their requirements and where possible exceed their expectations. You will also provide review feedback on the process of delivery to help inform & improve future selections and communications.

Because we are a charity, every penny we spend needs to maximise the outcome for nature. Everything you do will be in harmony with our values and ambitions, putting wildlife conservation at the core of our work and in the minds of our supporters.
