Visitor Experience Assistant

A fantastic opportunity has been created for a full time Visitor Experience Assistant on a 2 year contract at RSPB Conwy reserve in North Wales.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised, self motivated person to engage with visitors to our Conwy nature reserve, delivering a consistent, friendly and informative welcome to our visitors and able to actively generate income for the RSPB through membership recruitment. You will need to be self motivated to monitor and deliver membership recruitment targets, with support on some days from the area membership team. Working 5 days per week within the visitor centre you will train and develop a team of volunteers to deliver an exemplary customer welcome, and to support RSPB membership recruitment. You will co-ordinate volunteers to cover your days off. You will play an active role in promotion of the reserve events, providing information and taking bookings. You will be required to operate the till for customer event payments and reserve entry charges.

Regular weekend and Bank Holiday work will be required.
Conversational Welsh an advantage.

RSPB Conwy is situated alongside the estuary of the River Conwy, easily accessible for visitors just off the A55 main coast road and is a great place to visit. At RSPB Conwy we work hard to connect people to nature and the environment.

Salary starting at

£16,010 to £16,252 per annum
