Visitor Experience Manager

Reference number: A5100220

Location: Teeside

A fabulous opportunity has arisen to help 75,000 visitors, including 3,000 school children, get the most from their visit to RSPB Saltholme. The reserve is important for wintering wildfowl and waders such as wigeon, lapwing and golden plover. In the summer we have breeding common terns on the lake outside the visitor centre. Just up the road at Greatham Creek you'll find up to 120 Common Seals who haul up on the mud flats either side of high tide. The reserve is located on the former North Tees estuary at the heart of the Tees Valley. Our visitor experience team is made up of staff and volunteers who meet and greet visitors, run events and activities for families and other visitors. A team of hide guides is on hand to help visitors spot the birds and other wildlife on the reserve. If you are an enthusiastic and creative people person, up for the challenge of leading the visitor experience team (staff and volunteers) in delivering and developing our facilities and visitor experience, then this is the role for you. The reserve is open every day except Christmas Day and you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
