TRIP TO PORTLAND

Staying at the Rex Hotel in Weymouth for three nights, the cost includes coach travel, dinner, bed & breakfast and holiday insurance. Based on 20 persons the cost will be £264, or £250 for 24 persons. The hotel offers a limited number of single rooms which do not carry a single supplement. We have reserved accommodation but it will need to be confirmed by March 13th if we are to secure the rooms, so you will need to contact Frances Evans as soon as possible if you are interested.
The detailed itinery will be worked out once we know the trip is going ahead, but it will certainly include Portland and the Bill. This is a good time to go as the autumn migration will be well under way and the area is said to e very good for rarities.

MARGARET LOW

Margaret, sister to Catherine Paterson and a long time member of the Group, despite living hundreds of miles away in Glasgow, died recently after a short illness. Margaret was a regular on our holiday trips, particularly to Scotland and could be relied upon to inform us about the places we were visiting since she was a very knowledgable lady. Occasionally we would see her at Indoor Meetings with Catherine when she came to visit her in Worcester. She once entertained sixteen of us to lunch at her home when we were on our way to somewhere in northern Scotland. I'm sad to think we shan't see her on the trips anymore. Our condolences go to Catherine and the family.
