BATTLE FOR BRITAIN'S HEN HARRIERS

The first ever of Midlands Hen Harrier Day was held at Stratford upon Avon on 12th August 2018 - an apt date indeed.

The event was one of a series nationwide to celebrate hen harriers (and other raptors) and draw attention to, and protest about, their illegal persecution. Fully endorsed by the RSPB, Emma Marsh RSPB Midlands Director, was one of the speakers at this inspiring event.

See you at the second Hen Harrier Day Midlands?

BRIAN DRAPER

Brian, a long standing friend of the Group, will be remembered by many of us as an enthusiastic and knowledgeable leader of RSPB walks and an inspired speaker particularly on the subject of the Severn and the Teme rivers and their riparian wildlife, on which he was an expert. Down to earth and unassuming, he could talk to anyone and was popular as a speaker to a wide variety of groups and organisations. We send our condolences to his partner Helen.
Details of his funeral are not yet available, but will be posted here in due course.
