A special family fun day at RSPB Hodbarrow is set to be held this month and visitors are invited to join in the celebrations.

Taking place on Sunday 14 August, the event will include a variety of coastal themed activities such as beach art and a beach clean. RSPB staff and volunteers will also be on hand to show visitors the variety of wildlife that calls the Millom nature reserve home.

Dave Blackledge, RSPB Warden at Hodbarrow said: “There’s so much to discover here – from birds to toads and bugs to wildflowers, Hodbarrow is an ideal place to experience nature. Our fun day offers families the chance to get closer to the weird and wonderful creatures that live here and uncover what makes Hodbarrow so special.”

The family fun day will take place from 10.30 am-3 pm and is free entry.
