Swift in flight

With my long wings and short, forked tail I cut a dashing figure in the sky above you.

Us swifts are back in the UK after a winter spent in Africa, and we're ready to start a family.

Join our friends at the RSPB to find out more about us. You'll also get to see us careering madly at high speed through the air and screaming loudly as we look for food to feed our growing family.

But we aren't the only exciting date in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire this year.

To keep up with all this exciting wildlife, they'll be a series of mini-dates to introduce you to the best bits.

When can you see us?

We'll be out and about in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.

As we find new and exciting places to stop off, we'll keep this page updated - do keep checking back to find the latest place you can find the RSPB marquee or mobile hide.
