When he went back into the river at the bottom of my garden, an adult male swan attacked him and he came running back. Concerned for his safety....

Thanks doggie. I them earlier and since he isn't actually injured they suggested I 'monitor' him. Hoping as the sun sets, he'll head back to the river. Such a beautiful creature.
I would say looking at the photo he has a bit of blood on him, as you say he may head back once it gets darker, i wonder if it is a parent trying to move him on to a new territory.If you look here you will see loads of forums you can post in and more people will see your post www.rspb.org.uk/.../default.aspx
