I've just heard and it's also on the RSPB Arne reserve webpage on the RSPB webpage that Arne RSPB reserve is hosting Autumnwatch 2016.
By all accounts a lovely choice of reserve.
I haven't been there for some years but it's a lovely reserve. I'm sure we will see some Sika stags rutting.
Will look forward to watching, always a great watch.
It's not been officially announced by the BBC until 8.00pm this evening on Facebooks Springwatch site, as I tried Googling for more information, but nothing. I just found a few lines on the Arne webpage on the RSPB website by accident.
Did anyone see this video of a Sika Deer prancing across the beach at Poole not far from Arne. They reckon it may have swum across from Brownsea Island where there is a resident population.
Yes I did see this last week Tony, quite something.
I've just been on the BBC Media website that and the good news is that Winterwatch will also be broadcast live from Arne in January 2017 as well as Autumnwatch in October from Arne. I've changed the title as well a little because of that.
Thanks, All, and hurray!
Just to say I'm very disappointed that there is no live all day live wildlife webcams from Arne all day via the BBC's red button TV service or on the BBC Autumnwatch website. I did asked the BBC why and I didn't get a very satisfactory answer.
Hey folks, hope you are all tuned in ready for this years Autumnwatch!
Just to say I've been very disappointed by the BBC Autumnwatch programme with no live webcams and now no Autumnwatch Unsprung and they only seem to be using Chris Packham and Michaela Strachan as there main presenters. Martin Hughes-Games seems to have been sidelined as one of the main presenters. I think this Autumnwatch after one episode is probabably the worst Springwatch, Autumnwatch or Winterwatch episode I've seen and I have expressed my views to the BBC. But known the BBC I probably won't get a reply.
Hopefully you will enjoy tonights episode.
Hope you enjoyed it tonight Thomo. I must admit, I have enjoyed both episodes so far. Such a shame that Arne is so far away from me - it looks a brilliant reserve. Brilliant to see the young Golden Eagle.
