  • A great series, Jim. I particularly liked the little Wren.

I think your dragon might be a Common Darter rather than a Ruddy. Commons tend to have that yellowish stripe on the thorax, while Ruddy's are red and brown

  • They are very smart Hazel, and yes I will see you and Mike on the 12th lets hope we have a nice couple of days ;)

And I have all Wednesday pictures ready only taken a day to get through them :)

  • Sorry missed your post Nige, I thought the same about the Wren, and a Common will do just because I got a picture and I have another but this one is better it even landed on my head but took off before i could get my phone out :)

  • Not in order of the day but the first ones were taken at the dipping pond and then on the way to Lower Hide.

    Song Thrush.

Young GBBG and Greenshank on the island.

Never seen a Heron crouching down but it was very hot that day.

Five Little and one Great Egret at Lower Hide.

    Youg Moorhen.

    Marsh Tit

    Common Darter Nige :)

  • Lovely additions Jim

  • She will have to go :)

  • Excellent additions.

I can't decide if that Marsh Tit is a youngster, as it's one of the few in perfect plumage :)

  • Got this but it was fast and never came close to get a good picture.
