First visit to Bowers Marsh

  • Noticed on Facebook this reserve was openning today, so visited it for the first time...Excellent work carried out, well sign posted and easy underfoot. This reserve has fantastic potential. Looking forward to having some hides installed. Hope to be a regular visitor, but don't live local. Sightings today - Little Egret,Corn Bunting (20) Marsh Harrier, Skylark, Greylag Geese, Lapwing, Kestral mobbed by a couple of crows, Cettis Warbler (heard) and plenty of Goldfinches. On leaving another birder had noted a sighting of a Spoonbill, unfortunatly I did not see it. Well done to all those who worked hard to make the reserve possible. I'll be back !
  • Thanks Boozybirder, so glad you liked it :-)

Hi Bob, Sorry you missed the post. When you say the right hand side of the page do you mean on the Bowers Marsh webpage?

    Thanks
