This Bull and his friend! were enjoying the sunshine at the RSPB reserve at west Canvey Marshes Today, the11th Jan 2012, the marshes looked spectacular with the sun streaming down, hundreds of geese and dozens of Teal and a Merlin who was far too fast for me to capture!

Teal flying over West Canvey Marshes
This was part of a flock and there were 4 or 5 flocks in the air at the same time, looks like they are over Benfleet but that is the effect of the 400mm lens. Beautiful birds, wonderful to watch! We saw a hawk fly across from where they had been on the water and wondered if he was the cause of all...
