Derwent Reservoir, Osprey ring no FR1. I arrived at the hide a 1645 tofind an Osprey sitting on the partially submerged tree - the first time I have ever seen one on there. There was no sign of him eating or even cleaning his talons, so no idea when he had last fed. So we sat and waited. Two hours went by and he just sat there quite chilled - not too worried by the occasional gull buzzing though e did the give the Cormarant that climbed onto the tree a "death stare". Then he took off and you won't be surprised to read that instead of going to fish, he just flew into a tree to roost
Fabulous captures Bob!
Stunning shots Bob
Fantastic photos Bob, I am an Ospreyholic, so I just love these. I read that it is a Male, ringed in Perth in 2015.
Wonderful to see, thanks for posting and showing us Bob.
A wonderful collection, Bob--thanks. His crop is not sunken but is not greatly extended either, so he is not hungry yet.
