We're about more than just birds (though obviously we like them a lot).
All creatures....

Spot the Dipper

  • Beats me. I need to go to Specsavers

  • It must be recreating a scene from Apocalypse Now...... :)

  • lol Alan,  I see it and with the help of Jim's zoom lens spotted you too on the dark side of the moon Grindleford hills  today !   lol

  • LOL

  • Hope you and the extended family had a good Hazel

  • We sure did Alan, it was a hot humid day and Jim took quite a few photos;   I only took the Lumix with me today in case I saw the Spot-Fly again as I'd already got my pics last Wednesday, however,  sadly there was no sign of the Flycatcher and the woodland birds were pretty scarce on the whole today, maybe due to the weather and being there over midday when they are probably sheltering away from the heat.     The boys couldn't keep up with me  LOL

The boys couldn't keep up with me  LOL

I'm not surprised, just look at all that gear Jim was carrying. Was Mike contemplating sprinting up that scree slope to see what was up there? LOL

lol Tony,   I got off lightly today with only the feather-weight lumix to carry;     Mike did sprint back to the car and picked Jim and I up on the road before Hartington as I think we may have needed Oxygen tent for Jim had he ventured any further  !     the boy done good  - well both boys in fact and Jim's recovering at home with shoes and socks kicked off, beer in hand and feet up on the sofa  whilst I've sent Mike out to refill and clean the bird bath  tub   ha ha .

post edit:   there was a Kestrel up at the top of the slope !  ................... and have you found Alan's Dipper bird yet ?
