Blue House Farm Barn Owls 2018 (C) Essex Wildlife Trust ... all pics/vids posted with their kind permission!

  • Wow, lots of fluff, be good when prey is delivered & they move back into view!

  • Wondering if they've been ringed? I haven't seen them move far enough back yet.

  • There's been no mention on twitter!  Haven't had any decent views of them yet either!  Have tweeted the Warden to find out about ringing!

  • This is the best I got from two hours recording with cam going off quite often & needing refreshing ...

  • This very quick snippet as I logged on to see owlet downing prey which unfortunately I didn't capture

  • Not been able to access cam at all so far today!

  • Got this at 8:38 but only a few seconds of the LS as it then froze. Not ringed yet.

  • Was like that when I logged in after moth-trapping ... don't know if it is a failed tryout or whether it sporadically kicks in then fails again ... at least we get a newer view of owlet pair now & again!

Lookinh forward to ringing info & pics!

  • Sandra

Got this at 8:38 but only a few seconds of the LS as it then froze. Not ringed yet.

Just had to do the vid, makes I laugh!!

  • Info & pics on Twitter

  • Many thanks Wendy. I would think the first picture shows the two from the nestcam (big clue - barn in the background!). Beautiful chicks!

    19:00 LS at present

  • I didn't get that pic on live streaming Sandra, been buffering all the time for me today! They look pretty dejected!  Did get confirmation from the Warden that the owlets were too immature to be sexed & Mum & Dad were occuoying a separate nestbox & Mum was also ringed today!
