Kingston College Peregrines 2018 15th June

  • The first (recorded) female arrived at the College yesterday morning. She remained on the front of the building near the nesting box for about 20 minutes while the male showed off his flying skills. I only managed a pic from the ground floor with my phone, so just a record shot. I am hoping that the YouTube feed will be up and running again within a couple of weeks. I will post the relevant links when they are live.

A HUGE thank you to the IT Department for getting these up and running!

  • Ooooh lovely!

  • (A) female back on the front of the building again at about 8-30am today. No pics this time as I was carrying out a fire alarm test.

  • Any more news on cams going live?

  • I've reminded the IT department again, but they are down on staff at present.

  • I shall be patient!

Love it!!!!! Thanks MC am sure you will bring us good news soon, as other nests starting to show regular visits..

Wish them all a good Season, wonder how many eggs we will have here this year.

  • There has been activity, but from 12 storeys down it's hard to see who is doing what.

  • Today I finally had sufficient evidence to seal off the roof for the duration. I managed to get a pic with my mobile of both Peregrines (circled in red). The female is on the front of the building (r/h side of the pic) and the male on his favourite hunting spot at the East corner of the building (l/h side of the pic). Having ensured that neither bird was on the building, I checked the nesting box and found a decent sized scrape in the pea shingle. Mrs P has given it her seal of approval. Now we wait...

Lovely big scrape. Looks like she's already started on the local Parakeet population.

  • Looks like camera 2 might be live. I had a notification from YouTube earlier. Might be worth a look. I'm unable to check right now.

  • Morning mc

That link has been 'removed by the user'

I will ask for an update when I get in.

  • Had a word with IT. They tested all three feeds yesterday and they are currently firewalled awaiting my request to activate them. I have asked them to do so as soon as they are able.

  • Thanks MC, looking forward to being able to view your special Peregrines again!
