  • Thought it was time to start a new thread for this pair who have been roosting daily, a lovely clear pic & great hopes for a successful nest this year!

  • Thanks D!

  • Wendy, thank you for starting this thread, Ian

  • Yay!! see what the morrow brings

  • First one arrives and not long before tuther ,arrived, both enjoying a good preen, now settled for the day.

  • Hi, after my less than foolproof attempt at guessing which is male & which is female (see Blue House Farm thread), are there any better informed thoughts? Ian

  • Ian S
which is male & which is female

Now see if you are any wiser CHOL:):)   HERE

Colour Cams would maybe make life a little easier without Rings of course(which do help in identifying)

  • Super stuff earlybird Kate & great info re sexing Owls!

Hi, I did look at that guide, but the absence of colour cam along with my dodgy eyesight meant that I didn't feel it would help with my guesswork :). Ian

Doh!! and the angle does not help us much, to see which is the Bigger of the Two,. still as long as they keep visiting with Kissy Kissy and alternate preening, we will soon, hopefully, have the proof CHOL:):)

  • One was in Box when I logged on earlier, it moved to the back (in anticipation of company?) but as no one arrived flew up and out.

  • Good morning Saturday, both in the box now (also at Lorton Meadows), Ian

  • Morning all

One was alone in box earlier, then flew , and now both returned.

this one returned first and as I snapped the other arrived.

  • Thanks for checking Kate!
