We're about more than just birds (though obviously we like them a lot).

Wader id please?

This question is answered

Can you help with identifying these little ones? At first we thought we had Common Sandpipers, but they are smaller - actually they were slightly smaller than Dunlins that were present at the same spot - and when they came closer they appeared to look completely different. I have some guesses but I feel so confused with this one... Seen in Delta de l'Ebre in Spain.

  • Sanderling?

  • Little Stint I think

  • Little Stint is close to what I thought - Temminck's Stint - but I might have been biased - there is sizeable population of Temminck's in this area.

  • I'd go with Little Stint as well

  • Looks like a Little Stint to me

  • Many thanks to all!

I must admit I never thought about Temmincks as they are much rarer in the UK - I'm not even sure if they are in my book :).
