  • Looks like a Curlew to me Bramble.

  • Almost certainly a Curlew,we are starting to see them back on their breeding grounds on the local moor edge.

  • Hi B67 ... Looks as if it could be  a Glossy Ibis, not that I've seen one in the flesh myself but there have been some sightings recently ... might be worthwhile looking on rare bird alerts for your area!

    Of course, I could be wrong!!

  • Thank you both. I think Curlew is more like Wendy as it was sane colouring as a hen pheasant - which I thought it was at first gkance- pic is taken on my phone from the car so cropping has distorted the colours.
