  • Definitely Stonechats, the last one is moulting from juvenile to its 1st winter plumage.

  • Hi Alan, I believe its a Whinchat too, because of the white eye stripe and the white collar extending to the throat a bit more than a Stonechat. Lovely captures!

    1. An adult male
    2. An adult female
    3. A juvenile male I think

    I can see why you might have suspected Whinchat but the eye stripe in #2 isn't prominent enough IMO.

    Feel free to wait for other opinions.

    Stonechat would make more sense Tony as I've seen them in the same area of the moors over the years.
