These delightful birds arrive in the garden towards the end of summer each year- February. Trees at the back of our yard have been cut down to make way for a new building so the family have become challenged for space. During the drought of the last few years they have become trusting enough to fly down and drink from the saucepan sitting under the tap - collecting stray drips. One member of the family always sits guard in the pear tree while the others fly down and drink, one by one. Needless to say we have no cat or dog in the backyard to scare them off.
Wonderful, natural photgraph and cute bird !! Beautiful shot Jude.
