July's Birding highlights in Suffolk with Birdline East Anglia

The Roller remained near Icklingham until 1st. Two Bee-eaters flew over Iken 2nd, and three Bee-eaters flew south over Bentley 14th. A Wood Warbler was ringed at Hollesley 20th.

A Gull-billed Tern was at Minsmere late morning but flew off and amazingly was re-found at Carlton Marshes on Peto's Marsh until mid to late afternoon when it north 26th.

Other highlights at Minsmere were an adult White-rumped Sandpiper 19th-23rd, a Red-necked Phalarope 1st and up to at least two Roseate Terns on and off until 20th. A Roseate Tern was also seen off Lowestoft 1st and Landguard 19th.

A Glaucous Gull by the Hen reedbeds NR was somewhat unseasonal 16th.
