REMINDER -- Members Group Talk -- 'The Mystery of Migration' By Tim Sellers -- Wednesday 14th May

Location: United Reform Church Chapel, Widmore Road, BR1 1RY, Bromley North next to the Boots exit from the Glades.
Postcode: BR1 1RY (Google map)
Gilbert White in his 'Natural History of Selbourne' written in 1789 was one of the first to speculate that perhaps swallows migrated in Winter rather than the prevailing view of the time, that they spent the Winter in the mud at the bottom of ponds! How much wiser we think we are now, but even with ringing recoveries and more recently tiny GPS transmitters on birds' backs we still understand remarkably little about many aspects of migration. In this talk, Tim sellers an experienced speaker on birds, will try to throw some light on what we know, what we think we know, and what still remains a mystery about this fascinating subject. Please note the talk will start at 7.30pm promptly and we have to vacate the room by 9pm.

Time: 7.15 pm for 7.30pm start
Price: £3.50 per person for RSPB Members, £4.50 for non-Members
