2016 Bromley Members Annual Bird Feeding Survey

2016 Bromley Members Annual Bird Feeding Survey

January was a mild wet month. I had similar comments, about the lack of birds feeding in our gardens, as I have had over the last few years. I have certainly noticed that the number of days that birds have been seen, birds/days, has been falling. 39 members and friends submitted records this year. 37 species were seen this year, 38 last year. As in previous years in the full list percentage birds/days are shown for the top ten species. The 2015 positions are shown in brackets.

1 (3) Blue Tit (66.4)
2 (4) Wood Pigeon (62.5)
3 (2) Robin (54.8)
4 (1) Blackbird (48.0)
5 (7) Magpie (44.8)
6 (6) Great Tit (42.7)
7 (5) Dunnock (37.0)
8 (8) Feral Pigeon (33.2)
9 (10) House Sparrow (29.0)
10 (9) Ring Neck Parakeet (27.3)
