Yellow wagtail in winter wheat

Website Fixed

Hello everyone! After a long period of sustained issues with accessing the website, it appears that everything has now been resolved just in time for Christmas!

Many of you have been keeping up with the RSPB's activities through following our social media pages. To all of you who have been sending us your fantastic wildlife photos - thank you! It has been so positive to see that many people are appreciating and discovering nature in the local area, especially against the backdrop of the global pandemic that has plagued (literally!) 2020.

To those of you who rely on the website for your latest nature updates, we can only apologise. Many of the RSPB Local Groups across the UK have suffered from similar problems to varying degrees. The good news is that improvements are in the pipeline, and now that our website is back online, we promise that we will deliver some quality content to make up for the downtime! Hopefully talks, walks and events are not too far from the horizon...

Since the website was last updated, the RSPB Bromley Local Group has established a presence on Instagram, to go alongside our Facebook page. We are encouraging you, our members (and any non-members with some cool wildlife photos they wish to share) to send in your nature-related images. We aren't limiting you to pictures of birds, or to the local area - just email us at bromleyrspb@gmail.com and we will endeavour to feature your snaps on Instagram and our associated Facebook page.

We've added links to both the Facebook and Instagram pages on the "Links" section of the website, so have a look when you have time. We understand, however, if social media isn't your thing, so at the end of each month we will also upload the collection of photos received to be viewed on the website as well!

Finally, there will be a separate post on this soon, but we will be electing a new leader of the Local Group soon. Due to a change in roles, an updated Membership Application form is now available on the website for you to download. (It is available as a PDF attached to this article as well)

We hope to see you all again soon, but until then, stay safe and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Coronavirus Update

Coronavirus Update

Regrettably, we have received advice from RSPB HQ that all local activities must cease until further notice due to coronavirus restrictions. This includes all planned walks and in-person talks.

We are sorry for the disappointment caused, but hope you understand that these circumstances are out of our control. Please keep an eye out on our website and Facebook page for further updates.
