Long half day walk around Church Norton & The Severals (Ferry Pool initially)

Location: G.R. SZ 872956. From A27 by-pass take B2145 s/p Selsey. After about 5 miles enter the Sidlesham RSPB centre car park opposite the Ferry Pool. We will take in the ferry pool from the hide at the centre then move onto Church Norton and the Severals

Location: Park at TQ 042 096 Take A27 east through Arundel, turn left immediately after railway bridge. Go through Wepham to Burpham village, at sharp left just before the village proceed straight up the hill to park at T-junction (grassed triangle)

Half day / full day walk around RSPB Pulborough Brooks

Location: G.R. TQ 059165. Take A27 east, then left at Fontwell on A29. At Whiteways roundabout take second exit, B2139 signposted Amberiey. After about 4 miles turn left on unclassified signposted Rackham. At T-junction at end (about 2 miles) turn right and take next left. Turn left on to A283, and the reserve is immediately on the left

Full day walk around Blashford Lakes in Hampshire

Location: If going direct meet at Tern Hide 10am, car park on the left side when entering from A338 - http://www.hiwwt.org.uk/reserves/blashford-lakes for directions and details of reserve. If car sharing:
meet at Chichester Marina. Turn south at Stockbridge roundabout on the A27 s/p Witterings etc. After about 2 miles turn right into Marina private road. Car park is on right just before the boats.. Park in car park to share cars (also share petrol costs).

There is good car parking and toilets at Blashford, but no cafe.

Dawn Chorus - Kingley Vale

Location: Meet at West Stoke car park. GR SU825088.
Take the Old Broyle Road leaving Chichester. Just past Brandy Hole Lane, take the right fork onto West Stoke Road. After about 1/2 mile straight across Hunters Race. After approx 1 mile turn left towards West Stoke. The car park lies just through West Stoke on a sharp right-hand bend.

Dawn Chorus at Kingley Vale. 6:00 am start and finish about 9:00am.

This walk to be followed by (for those that want it) breakfast at Wellies restaurant at Oldwick Farm close to Kingley Vale. The restaurant opens at 9:00 and a menu will be available to enable orders to be placed ahead of arrival.

Location: Park at pay & display car park end of main road though Selsey B2145 (you may find some free parking round the back roads) meet at East End of Car park. The car park at the tip is free till 9:00am; then only 20p for an hour.

Long half day walk around Ebernoe Common

Location: G.R. SU 975278. Take A27 east and turn left onto A285 s/p Petworth. Continue through Petworth, and after 3.5 miles turn right into unclassified s/p Ebernoe. After 1.5 miles turn right 20 metres past a telephone box into narrow lane leading to the church car park.

A walk mainly to see the butterflies and flowers (orchids if lucky) of Ebernoe Common, along with summer woodland and farmland birds (first nightingales hopefully).
