Midweek walk

Location: Abinger - We meet at Abinger Roughs car park off White Down Road. From Dorking turn right off the A25 at Crossways Farm. The car park is on the left after half a mile. TQ111480

A lovely walk for this time of year when there should be a good variety of birds in the meadows, woodland and hedgerows. This is a hilly walk.

Weekend walk

Location: Oare Marshes - From J7 of M20 head north east on A249 towards Sheerness. Take M2 heading east towards Canterbury. Leave M2 at J6 heading north on A251 towards Faversham. Turn left on A2 towards Sittingbourne then right on B2045 to Oare. Follows signs to Oare and Harty Ferry. Park at end of Harty Ferry Road. (OS Map 178 TR103648)

A flat walk on good surfaces with plenty of hides overlooking water and places to relax.

Weekend walk

Location: Rainham Marshes RSPB Reserve (OS Map 177 - 546789) Take the M25 to J30/31 via Dartford crossing (toll charge applies - no cash booths any more - pre or post crossing payment system via website) Take A13 towards London. At Aveley, Wennington and Purfleet junction take A1306. The reserve is off New Tank Road A1090 which is just off the A1306. Follow brown signs.
There is a visitors centre, shop, toilets, cafe.

A walk around one of the best RSPB reserves where paths are good, plenty of hides and very varied habitat, hilly in places. Lovely cafe for coffee, tea etc. and of course shop and toilet facilities.
