A friendly group of keen birdwatchers, the group organises a number of events including; walks at weekend and mid-week as well as indoor meetings with a range of interesting speakers.

Midweek walk

Location: London Wetland Centre, Barnes. We meet in the visitor centre. Travelling from the A3 turn onto the A306 and follow signs in Barnes. TQ228770.
If you are a member of WWT do not forget your membership card, there is an entry fee for non-members.

A great place, close to the River Thames and Barnes with the opportunity of plenty of water birds, plus possible raptors as well as l woodland and garden birds. Walking is on flat good paths with plenty of hides.

Indoor Meeting

Location: Dorking Christian Centre which is opposite St Martin's Church at the top of Church Street, Dorking.

An illustrated talk by the superb photographer Bill Coster. He will be visiting three locations in Australia - Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory; Kangaroo Island in the South; and finally to Tasmania with photos of some of the strangest animals on the planet.

Midweek walk

Location: Pulborough rooks RSPB Reserve
We meet in the Reception Centre. The reserve is along the A283 between Pulborough and Storrington. It is well signed with the blue RSPB reserve sign.

An opportunity to visit one of the most diverse RSPB reserves with plenty of different habitats including water, woodland, scrub and open fields. A very special place.

Midweek walk

Location: Fetcham/Leatherhead. We meet at the far end of Cannon Grove, Fetcham. Travelling from Dorking up the A24 turn left on to the A246 up the hill and then right on the roundabout down Hawks Hill. Cannon Grove is on the right after turning left at the next roundabout at the bottom of Hawks Hill along Cobham road. TQ157565

A flat walk through scrub and woodland areas, with a pond and then the River Mole with an some interesting areas and back after crossing back over the Mole.

Take M25 and M20, leaving M20 at J10 and head south on A2070 then south west on A259 to Rye. Leave Rye on A259 and turn south on outskirts of town down Harbour Road (signposted Rye Harbour). Go to end of road, turn right to park in car park.

I go along the M25, down the A21 and then turn on to A25 signposted Sevenoaks. Stay on A25, through Riverhead and, start to look for signs to the reserve, it is a left turn off the A25.
