Woodpeckers, siskin, crossbill and goshawk are all possible at Montreathmont and Montrose Basin may be the place for little egret, water rail and kingfisher amongst many other birds.

Talk by Dr Fiona Manson, Policy & Advice Officer in Marine Ecology with the SNH. A look at the types of whales and dolphins to be found off the Fife & Angus coastline, how to identify them, their lifestyle, when & where they might be seen and the conservation issues surrounding both species.

SUNDAY 17TH MARCH - OUTING TO RUDDONS POINT & KILCONQUHAR LOCH

Location: Meet at Crichton Street, Dundee at 9am. Bring packed lunch and warm, waterproof clothing.

A look at the many species of sea duck, grebes and divers to be found in the Firth of Forth. Hopefully we will see surf, velvet and common scoter plus slavonian grebes and red-throated divers. At Kilconquhar loch a wide range of waterfowl will be seen.

WEDNESDAY 10TH APRIL 2019 - D.A.L. AFTERNOON WALK AT RIVERSIDE NATURE PARK, DUNDEE

Location: Meet 2pm at Riverside Nature Park car park, next to the municipal skips

A look around Dundee's Riverside nature reserve. By this time there may be early migrants such as chiffchaff, willow warblers and swallows to be seen. Many resident birds will already be setting up home and there should be a lot of bird song to identify. At Invergowrie Bay there will be lots of waders and possibly a few wintering species remaining.
