Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Mallard and Tufted Duck are resident. Passage birds have included various wildfowl, waders and occasional Osprey. Several species of warbler breed in the surrounding woodland and scrub. Great Spotted Woodpecker and a variety of other woodland species breed. In winter Whooper Swans, Wigeon, Teal, Pochard and Goldeneye can be present.
