Fungi photography
Fowlmere Bullfinches

Sunday, 3 November 2019

For our November event, we were very lucky to have award winning photographer Ben Andrew lead us around The Lodge RSPB and showing us how to get the perfect shot. With lots of fungi around the reserve it would give us a good chance to practice our skills as they wouldn't move or fly away.
Ben started off by showing us some of his fantastic photos that he's taken. He told us to try and look at things from different angles such as from below to get a different perspective.
We came across many different types of fungi around the reserve such as Fly agaric and Jelly ear, as well as many others that we weren't able to name. Ben also showed us the Fluted bird nest fungus in the gardens by the headquarters which was the first time it had been recorded on the reserve.
