Guernsey Weekend Wald Reservoir - Sunday 31st October

Sunday, 31 October 2021

After the heavy rain as the sun was coming up it was understandable that just 3 people turned up for this walk just as the clouds were disappearing and the sun coming out. Although still very windy, there were many sheltered places to be found in amongst the trees and low points in the terrain that is the Reservoir.
21 species were spotted by the small group and as I was changing my footwear after Jean and Ali had left a group of three Long-tailed Tits flew into the tree alongside me.

Black-headed Gull, Blackbird, Buzzard, Carrion Crow, Chaffinch, Coot, Cormorant, Great Black-backed Gull, Great Tit, Grey Heron, Herring Gull, Mallard,
Marsh Harrier, Moorhen, Pheasant, Pied/White Wagtail, Raven, Redwing, Robin,
Stock Dove, Woodpigeon
