More Long Service Awards

Pam Litton has, over 25 years, worked hard supporting the Group by holding produce and plant stalls at indoor meetings and has raised a great deal of money over the period. Pam has also been Publicity Officer and more recently our Membership Officer; she is our announcer on Quiz Nights, currently edits our Newsletter and offers help whenever she can for outside events. Very notably she has also been an Assistant Leader at the Boxmoor Birds Group, a joint venture we started between The Boxmoor Trust and the RSPB to promote wildlife to youngsters.

Ian Brading has been our Treasurer for 15 years and receives his award for that role which he has carried out impeccably, and for editing the group newsletter for several years. Ian and his wife also help to raise funds by sourcing and weighing out the bird food which is sold at our indoor meetings.

Diane Wilson came onto Committee 5 years ago and has helped to raise funds by running the monthly raffles, obtaining prizes and selling tickets at both indoor meetings and our two quizes together with selling the bird food mentioned above.

Ian Parker also joined the Committee 5 years ago and since then has been looking after our Publicity which includes writing reports and submitting them to local papers and magazines to promote the Group and it's activities. He has also organised two photographic competitions, the first of which led to the production of a calendar which raised money for us and the second is happening between now and October.

Very well done to all these willing helpers without whose help we would not have been so successful. Thank you very much indeed!
