Our former Group Leader, Paul Green, introduced 19 members of our group to his local patch, Rushmere Country Park near Leighton Buzzard. We now understand why he is so enthusiastic about the place!

It is certainly a delightful location to walk around with so many wildlife habitats, some of which we didn't manage to visit. .

We identified 32 different species and were pleased we connected with so many of Paul's target birds, the grey heron chicks and treecreepers especially!

We were amazed to hear and see so many nuthatchs in one place. The nectar laden burrowing solitary bees were a first for many of us.

So many thanks to Paul. Many of our group will surely revisit the park to try and take in Kingswood and the Heath
