Cup of tea

Garden Party

On a warm, sunny autumnal morning coffee was served in the garden as we watched the birds on the feeders. Both Sparrowhawk and Red Kite were seen flying overhead and 2 Goosanders flew downriver. A short walk in nearby fields produced Skylark, Meadow Pipit and Pheasant and was followed by an excellent lunch of soup, sandwiches and cake provided by members of the commitee. In the afternoon a circular walk via Loch Achonachie dam was taken during which we saw Grey and Pied Wagtails, 2 House Martins, Siskins and several Tit species. 32 species of birds were seen in total along with a few Butterflies, Dragonflies and a day-flying Bat.
