September and October News for 2013

September and October News for 2013

Andre Farrar from the RSPB opens our new season of indoor meetings on 6 September with a talk called 'Saving Special Places', in which he explains how protecting wildlife sites from damage can help to give nature a home. Our first coach trip of the season on 15 September sees us visiting Holme NWT reserve on the North Norfolk coast, at a peak time for bird migration. On 4 October Ken Panchen will be updating us on the success story of red kites in the Chilterns (NOTE THAT THIS IS A CHANGE TO THE PUBLISHED PROGRAMME: BILL COSTER'S TALK HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL NOVEMBER). On 20 October we again head for the North Norfolk coast, when we visit the RSPB's excellent flagship reserve at Titchwell Marsh, which should be packed with birds entering and leaving the country at this time of year. More detailed information about all these meetings can be found on our 'Events' page.
