The coach left Springwood at 8.30am with 24 adults and one child on board. A Red Kite was seen on route. We arrived at Filey Country Park at 10.30am the weather was fine with a North East wind. Highlights at Filey included Red Breasted Fly Catcher, Stonechat and a very tame Snow Bunting which was hoping around on the pathway of Filey Brig a number of sea birds were seen including Manx Shearwater. Next stop Thornwick Pools (not visited by the group before) to see a Humes Leaf Warbler which was showing very well. The group also went searching for a Richards's pipit which had been reported at the cliff top grasslands but this proved unsuccessful. Most of the group walked on to Flamborough Head via North Landing two Peregrines and a small flock of Redwing were seen on route and a Fieldfare was seen in the field next to the car park. On the sea there were Gannets and Red Throated Diver and a Porpoise. The coach left Flamboruogh at 5.00pm arriving in Huddersfield at 7.15 about 45 species were seen with some very interesting sightings. The trip cost £16 each.
