Group outing to Clumber Park and Potteric Carr on 19/02/17

The group left Huddersfield at 8.30 the weather was fine and mild. Arriving at Clumber Park at 9.45 there was a good number of Nuthatches along with Gold crest, Tree creeper and Marsh Tit. Large numbers of birds could be seen on the lake including Mute Swan, Golden eye, Canada Geese and Coot. There were Brown Rats and very tame Squirrels seen to be enjoying the bird food. The group left Clumber Park at 12.15 arriving at Potteric Carr half an hour later. The highlight of this visit for a lucky few was excellent views of Bitten. Also seen were Kingfisher, Buzzard, Marsh Harrier and Red Poll. Some of the group also saw Roe Deer and Rabbits. The coach left Potteric Carr at 5pm arriving back at springwood car park at 6.15.
