Buzzards and Red kites were spotted from the coach on the journey down. We visited Scarborough harbour first where there was a large number of Turnstones but not a great deal else. We then visited Holbeck car park to see if we could see the Med Gulls that are regularly spotted there. It took a while to find these but they were finally spotted along with a Red throated diver that was seen out at sea and a Roe deer was also seen hiding in the bushes. We then arrived at Filey Country Park. Filey Brig provided the most interesting sightings which included Purple sandpiper, Red Shank, Oyster Catcher, Common Scoter eider ducks guillemot Fulmar and Gannets. At Filey dam wetlands a number of waterfowl were found including Potchard, Teal, Tufted duck and Greylag goose. The coach left Filey at 4.30pm arriving in Huddersfield at 7.15
