The coach set off from springwood car park in Huddersfield at 8.30. Unfortunately the journey took longer than expected due to a road closure, nr Malton. Due to the delay the decision was made to skip Filey and head straight to Flamborough head. The day was very pleasant warm dry with low winds. Birds seen included Fulmar, Gannet, Kittiwake, Great White Egret, Widgeon, Curlew, Turnstone, Rock Pipit and Meadow Pipit. The Highlight of Flamborough Head was a couple of Yellow Browed Warblers. Also nice to see was a number of Grey seals and a Small Copper Butterfly. After leaving Flamborough Head at 3.30pm we called in to the village to see if we could spot a Pied Crow (an escaped bird) which had been reported as seen in the area, fortunately for us the Crow flew straight passed the bus giving good views to all on board. The group then visited North Landing. Were a number of Turnstones were seen and some Whopper swans flying over. The Coach set off home from North Landing at 5pm. There were 20 Adults on the trip which cost £18 each. 50 species of bird were recorded as being seen.
