Field Meeting

Location: Meet at Stratton Hall Lane near Levington Marina. Map ref TM245384

Levington Creek for migrant waders and summer wildlife.
We meet on Stratton Hall Lane for a walk down to Levington Creek, or we may go on down to the carpark at the creek depending on numbers. At this time of year the wader migration is underway and this is a great area to view waders and other birds using the area as a migration stopover. Literally any wader can be seen, this changing on a daily basis. Other birds are on the move this time of year or preparing for migration so we may well see raptors, hirundines and other birds as they gather. The area is also well known for its flora and insect life. 2-3 hours, 2-3 miles and the going is easy. Leader Stephen Marginson. All welcome.
