Events

Stout footwear, warm clothing and packed lunches are recommended for field outings, which will be joint outings with Lancaster and District Birdwatching Society. If you need transport for an outing please ring RSPB Lancaster Local Group Leader Valerie Hall (07542117064) at least 6 days beforehand. Everyone is welcome, especially inexperienced birdwatchers.
If weather forecasts are poor, please ring 07542117064 the previous night, before 9pm. The leader has discretion to cancel an event if weather conditions are bad.

A Tramper Trek and walk at Wyre Estuary Country Park, Stannah, Blackpool

A chance for our less able bodied members to attend a bird watching outing. with us. Trampers are electric vehicles that can tackle rough ground, allowing everyone access to the countryside in comfort. There will be a number of these vehicles available at the country park for our members to use. The River Wyre is the southern boundary of Morecambe Bay. We will trek along the river towards Skippool, coming back through the fields. Walkers on foot welcome to join in.
