We will be visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust's Spurn Point, one of the Group's regular destinations which we have visited in September for several years. This time we are going in October.

Spurn is a truly unique place on the north bank of the entrance to the River Humber, where almost anything can turn up. Those who know it well will be aware that this coastal area is particularly dynamic, the tidal surge of December 2013 in particular having removed a section of the road so that the point is now an island at high tide.

For more information see the Trust's website at: http://www.ywt.org.uk/reserves/spurn-nature-reserve

Price: £27, including £10 non-refundable / non-transferrable deposit
