Starting at the Reception bird feeders we continued along to the North Bushes where some were lucky enough to see a goldcrest. We continued into the North hide where the sun was against us. We then walked up along the North Wall to the beach where we saw gannet way offshore, red-throated diver very close to the shore and common scoters in the mid-distance. Some Whooper swans were spotted in the pools heading back to Reception. 51 species seen and heard: not a bad listing for a two and a half hour walk.
