19 were present, including a visitor from Beccles. Before proceedings started Phil Jackson had seen Widgeon and one Gannet flying.

We set off along the concrete sea defence wall stopping to view greenfinch and starlings. Gulls are always present on Birds Eye but we were to see Med and common gull later on Links Road muddy car park.
The walk takes us past the new caravan park, nicely filling up, to Links Road where we turn onto the grass area. During this return part, dunnock, long-tailed, great and blue tit were seen. Sitting to the rear of the trees a song thrush was spotted but it wasn't until it flew off that a positive identification could be made because this bird had a yellow bib along its front.

The path took us to an entrance to Sparrow's Nest but little was seen until we were leaving the park. From the path goldcrest, collared dove and goldfinch were seen.

However the highlight for the group were a family of purple sandpipers were seen on one of the groins and then a very clear view of 2 birds on the rocks by the sea wall. What a great way to finish this walk.
