26 Nov - Snipe, Siskin, Goosander (3), Chiffchaff, Grey Wagtail, Dipper, Pied Wagtail (100+), Redwing, Meadow Pipit, Teal (4), Goldcrest River Bollin, Prestbury (Paul Davies)

24 Nov - Little Egret, River Bollin, Bollin Grove, Prestbury (Steve McCoskery)

24 Nov - Nature Stuff Birdwatching session at Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve, 32 species seen including Common Buzzard, Goldcrest, Goldfinch, Great Crested Grebe, Long-tailed Tit, Nuthatch, Redwing, Tawny Owl, Treecreeper, Wren (Tina Hanak)

21 Nov - 85 Pink-footed Geese over Pestbury flying in a westerly direction (Steve McCoskery)

20 Nov - Treecreeper, Nuthatch, Long-tailed Tit (small flock), West Park, Macclesfield (David Tolliday)

19 Nov - Dipper in full song - River Bollin, Gas Road bridge, almost under the railway line. (David Atkinson)

16 and 17 Nov - Nature Stuff Birdwatching session at Chorlton Water Park, 38 species seen including Bullfinch, Common Buzzard, Collard Dove, Gadwall, Goldfinch, Goosander, Great Crested Grebe, House Sparrow, Jay, Kingfisher, Long-tailed Tit, Pochard, Redwing, Siskin, Sparrowhawk and Teal. 15 Nov -100+ Pink-footed Geese flying west over Prestbury (Steve McCoskery)

6 to 14 Nov - Little Egret, 1 daily from 6th-14th November, with 2 on 10th, Paddlers Pool, Hurdsfield. (David Atkinson)

13 Nov - Lesser Black-backed Gull (2) on Lark Hall Pond and a Kestrel at Back Eddisbury Road, Macclesfield (Jeremy Snape)

11 Nov - Black-headed Gull with blue colour ring 2F88 at Redesmere. Rung 24 February 2013 at Redesmere and seen in Oset, Narke, Sweden on 9/3/2017, 17/6/2019 and 27/3/2020 (David Tolliday)

11 Nov - Goldeneye (pair), Lesser Black-backed Gull (2), Tufted Ducks (lots), Great Crested Grebe at Redesmere (David Tolliday)

9 and 10 Nov - Nature Stuff Birdwatching session - Bollington - The Canal, Tinker's Clough and The Middlewood Way. 26 species seen including Bullfinch, Grey Wagtail, Redwing and Siskin. There were mixed Goldfinch/Siskin flocks of 25+ birds. (Tina Hanak)

8 Nov - Redwing, Stock Dove (3) and a male Redpoll in garden, Buxton Old Road, Macclesfield (Damien Healey)

7 Nov - Wigeon (30+), Pochard (2), Teal (2), Barnacle Geese (5), Cormorant (17), Fieldfare (20+) at Tittesworth Reservoir (David Tolliday)

7 Nov - 20+ Fieldfares and 2 Redwings eating rowan berries plus several Blackbirds, nuthatch and a Song Thrush in a Blakelow Road, Macclesfield garden (Dave Beer)

6 Nov - c150 Pink-footed Geese overflying Prestbury village in a easterly direction (Steve McCoskery)

6 Nov - Lesser Black-backed Gull on road by front garden on Tytherington estate (David Tolliday)

4 Nov - Lots of Goldcrests, Nuthatch, Great Spotted Woodpecker and a female Goosander in Congleton Park (Tina Hanak)

4 Nov - 30+ Fieldfare, Higher Sutton (Tina Hanak)

3 Nov - 30 to 40 Redwings flying over Prestbury village centre (Steve McCoskery)

2 and 3 Nov - Nature Stuff Birdwatching session - Tegg's Nose Country Park, Tegg's Nose and Bottom's Reservoirs. 30 species seen including Bullfinch, Cormorant, Goldfinch, Goosander, Kingfisher, Little Grebe, Redwing, Song Thrush, Sparrowhawk and Tufted Duck (Tina Hanak)

2 Nov - Goosander (8 female and 2 male) Leadbeaters Reservoir (David Beer)

1 Nov - 3+ Fieldfares with 8 to 10 Redwings feeding on yew berries at Prestbury Hall, Prestbury (Steve McCoskery)

RSPB CHRISTMAS CARDS

RSPB CHRISTMAS CARDS

RSPB CHRISTMAS CARDS will be available for sale at the following events:

RSPB Macclesfield Local Group indoor meetings on 9 November and 14 December at the Macclesfield Community Centre (formerly The Senior Citizens Hall), Duke Street Car Park, Macclesfield, SK11 6UR from 7.30pm. Jams, marmalade, RSPB pin badges and bird food will also be available. Please bring cash or cheques. For more information see the events page of this website.

COFFEE MORNING at Gawsworth Community Hall, Congleton Road, Gawsworth, SK11 9QZ, on 11 November from 10.00am to 12 noon. Cakes, jams, marmalade, RSPB pin badges and bird food will also be available. Please bring cash or cheques.

THE FOUR CHARITY CHRISTMAS CARD SHOPS:
